BLI offers a robust, sensitive and high throughput alternative relative to more traditional imaging and biodistribution studies using terminal endpoints, invasive procedures or radiolabeling. We were the first CRO to offer BLI in 2003 and in the 17 years since we have amassed considerable experience and know-how in this optical imaging field.

The panel addresses the growing need to understand how immunotherapy modulates pro-tumor and anti-tumor activity in the myeloid compartment of the tumor microenvironment. In this Tech Spotlight, we demonstrate the power of this 18-color panel that provides a deep dive into myeloid subset immunophenotyping and functional characterization.

Researchers are using preclinical mouse modeling in an effort to employ conventional treatment methods for lymphoma, such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy, in combination with immunomodulatory agents to more effectively treat this disease.

In this Tech Spotlight we will present the principles of absolute counting and the advantages this service provides when used in combination with tumor immunophenotypic analysis.

Multiple myeloma is a malignancy of plasma B cells and is the second most common hematological malignancy in the United States. Malignant myeloma cells accumulate in the bone marrow and ultimately replace normal hematopoetic stem cells, which results in progressive leukocyte deficiencies.

Kidney cancer generally occurs in older people, with an average age of diagnosis at 64 years old. Kidney cancer is among the ten most common types of cancer in the United States, with an overall lifetime risk of approximately 1.6 percent. The most common form of kidney cancer is renal cell carcinoma (RCC), representing 90-95 percent of all cases.

Breast cancer is the second most deadly malignancy after lung cancer in woman in the United States, with an estimated 246,000 new cases and 40,450 deaths expected in 2016. Many treatment options for breast cancer exist including surgery, radiotherapy, anti-estrogen therapy, targeted therapies (e.g., trastuzumab), and chemotherapy.
