Analytical support for electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) and next-generation tobacco and nicotine product (NGP)

The requirement was to reduce the use of external providers, taking advantage of the expertise available following the addition of the analytical team at the Labcorp Early Development Research Labs location in Eye, U.K. The initial projects were to transfer the analytical methods and adapt them to the laboratory at Eye, while maintaining the same expectations and fully validating the methods. Following this initial success with nicotine, the service was expanded by adding new methods to enable the analysis of further analytes, for example, carbonyls. Once fully validated, routine analytical support was provided for a number of studies performed at the Harrogate site, which has since continued on a routine basis.
